Forgotten Suns were Tiago’s first band, a progressive rock band whose name was inspired by a Marillion song.
Not many musicians/songwriters can announce they wrote the lyrics to a concept album at the age of 18, but Tiago can proudly say so. He had the entire idea for Fiction Edge, Forgotten Suns’ first album, at the age of 16, but only finished writing the lyrics two years later. Fiction Edge is a concept album focused on the origins of the Universe and Life itself. It portrays Evolution from the very beginning until today and finishes with a touch of social dimension: a critical view on Humankind and its daily routines, and the profound impact such routines have in everyday life.
The album was released in 2000 and garnered some success both nationally and internationally among prog rock fans, granting the band their spot amongst the most prestigious prog rock bands across the world.

Their second album, Snooze (2004) solidified that status, and got them several prizes, including the distinction of coming in front of the colossal Marillion in a list of the best prog bands worldwide, that year.
Snooze picked up where Fiction Edge left off. From a macro view on the universe, to a micro view of Humankind, especially focusing on the aspects of the human psyche.
Snooze presents its main character, X, who wakes up after the alarm clock goes off, hits the snooze button and decides he’s not going to work. He decides he no longer needs a job or a salary. He then goes on to observe the life of all those people who are prisoners to a life not of their choosing and not to their satisfaction, as he once was. Soon money runs out. What now? Nothing like listening to the album to find out what happens to X.
Tiago left Forgotten Suns in 2007 in due to musical and personal divergences with the rest of the band. He was then asked to join several musical projects as a singer and songwriter, in different musical genres from Blues to Pop, Symphonic/Progressive Rock and even modern music inspired by tradicional Portuguese music.
