Cambraia is a band that brings back the roots of Traditional Portuguese Music, smartly combined and intertwined with rock and world music, resulting in a modern concept of “Portugalidade”.
The band was originally created by Tiago and Ricardo Daniel, in 2007, as sort of a dare. Ricardo presented Tiago with one of his poems and asked him to compose a music for it. Tiago finished in in just 40 minutes! The poems kept coming, the music kept flowing and Cambraia emerged from this interchange.
Cambraia explore the rhythms and instruments associated to Portuguese Popular Music and Culture to recreate moods and atmospheres that challenge us to think and question our everyday life events, both social and political.
Cello, piano, percussion, bass and guitar mix together with Portuguese lyrics.

The band currently has a full-length album, Concordar com Gente Grande (2017) and two singles from their upcoming album: Esta Coisa a Meia Idade (2019) and Nua e Crua (2019); they’ve achieved some success with the song Apenas Um Sorriso, which was featured in the Portuguese soap opera Belmonte.
