Tiago was asked to join Casual Attraction, a bluesy, jazzy, rock, gospel, funky-feel good band, in 2008. What attracted him the most was the concept of always singing in duet, a male vocalist (Tiago) and a female vocalist, in a constant musical dialogue about relationships: sometimes as a romance, others as a war between the sexes.
At First Sight was released in 2009 and was well acclaimed, especially the singles So Many Reasons and Carry On, that had some TV airplay in popular shows where new bands were promoted.

An EP followed, in 2013, titled From Scratch; it was considered one of the best EP released in 2013. Standing by the Window, a song written by Tiago, was even chosen to be featured in a popular Portuguese soap opera, Mundo ao Contrário.
In 2013, Tiago decided to leave the band and follow other musical projects. Casual Attraction tried to change the project to feature a single vocalist, but never recovered the synergy that was lost after Tiago’s departure and the band dissolved in 2014.
